R19: on the road

THE
END

It ain’t over ‘til… the fat lady sings and unfortunately she’s singing the blues over years of hard hits on the construction industry making it impossible for Owens Corning to continue their commitment with the R19 City Wide Racing team. The time has come to say a warm heartfelt “Thank you” to all who made this possible.

Lon Carnahan: you are a top-notch guy. Undoubtedly the best sprint car owner we’ve ever known. You’ve built a small empire and in a matter of a few years you’ve brought Carnahan Motorsports to a top World of Outlaws team, including a most envied motor program. What few people know is you’ve won a major feature in every country we’ve visited: USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. That is impressive! We now hope to count you as a lifelong friend (now that you’re not our boss anymore!). And we know we can speak on everybody’s behalf at City Wide Insulation and the Carnahan family: thanks for the years of quality entertainment!

Owens Corning: Carnahan Motorsports never could have existed for 13 years without your strong and constant support.

Jason Solwold along with Randy Anderson, Ricky Logan, Brian Brown, Jake Peters, Justin Henderson, Danny Lasoski and Lucas Wolfe you helped us move from a struggling local team to a striving World of Outlaws team. Jason, with you the R19 learned the ropes and became a winning race car.

Rob Cappetta: what can we say… You have the bitchin’est motors we’ve ever had the pleasure to bolt into a car.

Triple X Race Co: You said you wanted to take us to China, hope the offer still stands because we have a lot of time on our hands! Just keep doing what you’re doing… and thanks for giving us cars that are FAST and SAFE!

This year we got to be one of the PA Posse.  Doug Esh strapped himself into the blazing R19, kept the car going fast when Jac was hurt and crossed the checkered first and fastest of anybody in NY.

And then came Jac. What can you say about Jac that hasn’t been said by thousands of writers, thousands of articles over and over? Re-igniting his career to win 10 major features including 2008 Gold Cup.

The last seven years have gone by as quick as a blink of an eye, so much fun, so many good times. We’ve received such solid devotion on every level.  Thanks once again to all our sponsors, drivers and fans. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that the fat lady will change her tune once again and start singing the theme from the “Return of the Pink Panther”.
